What is IntimaLase™?
IntimaLase™ is a unique, patent-pending Er:YAG laser therapy for incisionless, non-invasive photothermal tightening of the vaginal canal. Clinical studies have shown that IntimaLase is an efficient, easy-to-perform, and safe procedure.

The indication for IntimaLase is vaginal relaxation syndrome, which is the loss of the optimum structural form of the vagina. This condition is generally associated with overstretching of the vaginal canal during childbirth as well as with natural aging.


How does IntimaLase™ work?

• Fotona’s 2940 nm Er:YAG non-ablative laser with proprietary “Smooth-mode” technology thermally affects the vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen remodeling and the synthesis of new collagen fibers in the vaginal mucosa tissue and collagen-rich endopelvic fascia.

The indications for IncontiLase therapy are mild and moderate stress- and mixed-urinary incontinence (SUI). Preliminary clinical studies show that it is an efficient, easy-to-perform and safe procedure.

Dr. Kiran J. Bijlani has with her over 21 years’ experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is very popular in the medical field in Bahrain. She has introduced many innovative techniques in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In the field of Gynecology, Dr. Kiran assess and treat patients with problems of infertility, hormonal disturbances, cancers related to the ovaries, uterus, cervix and vagina. She has expertise for treatment of cancer, polycystic ovarian syndrome and menopause and is proficient in endoscopic surgery for Gynec related problems, both laparoscopic surgery as well as hysteroscopic surgery. She has special interest in treating patients for deficiencies in pelvic floor support, complicated fibroids and ovarian and tubal pathologies.

In Obstetrics, she assess patients during the antenatal period and conduct antenatal classes. She also conducts normal deliveries and does Cesarean sections when indicated. Her interest lies in patients with Bad Obstetric history and infertility. She has also incorporated hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques during normal deliveries and is proficient in Obstetrics and Gynecology ultrasound including 3 D and 4 D ultrasound examination.

Qualifications

 

Dr. Kiran has completed MBBS from Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai in the year 1989. She holds a DGO [Diploma in Gynaec and Obs] from College of Physicians and Surgeons [Mumbai] in the year 1991. She has done her M.D. in gynecology & Obs from G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, University of Mumbai, INDIA in the year 1992 and was awarded the gold medal for securing first rank from Bombay University. She has also done a certificate course in clinical embryology and assisted reproductive technology in the year 2006 from Manipal University, India and Cleaveland Clinic, USA.

Dr. Kiran has over 2 years of teaching experience during the MD Course at G.S. Medical College, and 1 year teaching experience at Tata Memorial Hospital as the Research Officer in the Genito-Urinary Oncological Service.
